| Comments: | Howard, I just saw you and your team in action today at my church doing Sis Collen's funeral. You are so professional and organized. I was so proud of you because she was one of my favorite people and so or you and your family. I felt like a proud mother, the things that stands out the most for me is the passion you ...have for the family and friends. Plus the small things like being their at least two hours before services, greeting people with such wonderful smiles, making everyone feel comfortable, giving the family such a wonderful gift and at the grave sight covering the family with a blanket to keep them warm. THAT WAS FIRST CLASS! So as I told you today you are the FUNERAL SERVICE for me. For as we all know this is one appointment we all must keep. | Comments: | I cannot thank you enough for the magnificent job your staff did for my grandmother's home going services on Monday.
Your service was impeccable, proficient, comforting and encouraging....from the time we walked into the door on Tuesday April 13th to the actual service on April 19th. I can truly say that the staff at HKH is second to none...
I have been to quite a few funeral services over my lifetime and have not seen the level of professionalism that you all have exhibited to us. From the young man who came to get my Grandmother from the convalescent home, to the person who opened the door for us as we came to your offices, to Howard, not counting it robbery to come and sit with us and talk to us, making sure everything was in order, to Jerry walking us through all of the pricing and funeral arrangements, to Orcella really being so kind and gentle and loving and explaining things to us, to Pastor Steve Harvin for being there as a source of comfort...with his special anointing to make you smile and even laugh in the midst of the sorrow....to Eld Burgess even as he ministered to my mother as he drove the family vehicle...to the many names that I do not know.... you all were awesome.
The way you handled the crowds, kept everyone moving with such loving care, no one was rude nor disrespectful...just amazing....and THE BEST PART....was when Pastor Steve unfolded the blanket of my Grandmother and wrapped it around my mother....what a touch of class!!! I tell you....words couldn't even express the gratitude for that gesture! It just shows more of your personalized service that really made us feel special.
I am really impressed by the level of excellence in which you operate. Believe me when I tell you that you have made an indelible mark on the city of Waterbury and on our family at large...there were many people who came up to me personally asking for your information...I gladly gave it to them...not that I am looking to go anywhere anytime soon, but dealing with you all have opened my eyes that I need to get my business in order...so I will be coming to see you to get my funeral arrangements in motion. We don't like to talk about that kind of stuff, but as you all have opened my eyes, it is very necessary...
I can't thank you enough for the genuine love that we felt! You all are some blessed people, anointed and appointed to do what you do! Although the circumstances weren't what I personally would have chosen, I am glad to have made the acquaintance of each and everyone of you that I encountered.
You all will forever be etched in my heart for turning this difficult time into a joyful experience which I will never forget.

| Comments: | Words cannot begin to describe the appreciation and gratitude that our family has for Howard K. Hill funeral services. On April 12, 2010, the Lord saw fit to take my grandmother, Beatrice L. Jones home. Jonathan Jones was our first contact, as he came to receive my grandmother's body. From our first encounter with Jonathan, we felt the love, care, attention and professionalism. He allowed us as much time as we needed with Grandma and was very respectful. Please express our gratitude to him for his care on that day.
As we were planning the funeral services, our next encounter was with Gerald Brown. Can I just tell you that I think he is my brother from another mother?? :-) I loved the way that he dealt with us, so attentive, caring and worked very patiently with us during a very difficult time. Gerry was WONDERFUL and I'm very thankful to him for doing a great job.
Ocello is an absolute GEM. Very professional and caring. Thank you for working with us and really showing us that you cared about our needs. You are a beautiful Lady and I know that God will continue to bless and use you for His service.
I would need another email to write about Steve!! Steve, if you don't know it, I'm telling you right now, You are So part of our family now!! My father is already talking about getting you to preach at our church..LOL. You are a good man and I'm so thankful to you for being such an instrumental part of this process for us. You were there for us to cry on, to listen to, whatever we needed, you were there. Although there were many moments during the funeral service that stands out, the memory that will forever be etched in our minds is of you presenting the picture quilt to my mom. I know that you all do that as a service to the family but I don't know if you realize the Depth of that sentiment. We all broke down crying because it was such a heartfelt thing to do. My mother will FOREVER cherish that and I thank you for presenting it. That even broke my husband down!! I'm sitting there crying and expecting to feel his arms around me and all I hear is him Sniffling!! LOL....It was a defining moment and I was just elated. Thank you.
Lastly, the man who makes it all happen, Mr. Howard K. Hill. Howard, You are a BLESSING to the body of Christ. Your ministry reaches far and wide and after having a Howard K Hill experience, I don't see myself using anyone else (not that I want to see you again in this aspect anytime soon!!) My grandmother had been sick for quite sometime and we know that her body was bent and her mouth was distorted, but Howard, I get tears in my eyes when I think about how you all made her look like she did in a lot of her pictures. People were expecting her to look a certain way but she looked so peaceful, as if she never had a pain in her body. Thank you for taking the time to really care for her and allowing her beauty to shine on that day. You are a class act and have been anointed by God for this ministry. Working with you during this time made a Very difficult time a little more easier. Yes, we still grieve, yes we still feel the pain of not having Grandma here but Howard, my God, you are a blessing and because you have blessed us, God will continue to bless you. I pray that God take you to heights unknown and that your blessings will overtake you.
To all of the staff that perhaps worked behind the scenes and we didn't get a chance to meet them or deal directly with them, On behalf of my parents, Bishop and Lady Gatling and my whole family, I say THANK YOU. God bless you.

Good morning to you! After adding you as a friend, I immediately checked out your website. I am so excited to see the webpage in it's layout, you have everything in one place with so many different features and varities! I am just beginning to make my dream become a reality as a licensed funeral director. I am attempting to meet with a local funeral home here in Montgomery, Alabama and ask some questions, just to make sure that this is something that I REALLY want to do. I used to have problems with going to funeral homes, but now I just think of them as being a place of comfort. I became interested in the business through my mom. She has been working for a nursing home for over 30 years, and she would come home and tell me how she used to bathe and clothe a resident that has passed in preparation for the funeral home to come, plus we would go and see them (the resident) at the funeral home before the funeral. Now back to your webpage and all of it's features.... I am still shocked as to how PROFESSIONAL your website is. I've never seen anything like it and I am so glad that an African American is doing something so POSITIVE in the world! KUDOS to you and your staff also, the style of your funeral home (virtual tour) to the uniforms that you'all wear. WOW! I am just speechless now!

The driver that came and picked up me and my family made me feel so comfortable that I forgot that I was in a family car. Even during the service, Jonathan kept coming to make sure I was alright.
